Pastors Joey and Erin Hartman

Senior Pastor

Joey grew up in Chesapeake, VA, attended Living Word Church in Norfolk, VA, and graduated from Atlantic Shores Christian School in 1991.  In the fall of 1991, he began classes at Virginia Wesleyan with the plan of being an architect. However, God had other plans for his life and through a series of events God captured Joey’s attention. He surrendered to the calling on his life in 1992 and that spring began classes at Emmanuel College. Joey graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Religion.   During his junior and senior year, he served as Youth Pastor for Elberton Pentecostal Holiness Church.  The best part of his experience at Emmanuel College was meeting Erin.  As they served the Lord together at the Elberton church, their love grew and shortly after graduation they were married. 

In the Fall of 1996, he took his first pastorate at Good Shepherd in Goochland, VA.  God healed hearts and moved in lives during that time.  In 2000, following the Lords leading, he served as Youth Pastor for Fountain of Life Church in Elizabeth City, NC. In 2004, Joey and Erin moved to Petersburg, VA to help with a church plant.  For a year they served at Crossroads as Children’s Pastors.  In that year, they raised up, trained and deployed a team to continue children ministry.  In 2005, they left to suffer for the Lord at the beaches of Nags Head, NC (Ha Ha). Joey worked as the Associate Pastor at the Ark International Church in Nags Head. In 2008, God called Joey back into the pastorate.  He became the Pastor of Faith Outreach Church in Hampton, VA. God is still using Joey and Erin to see healing in people’s lives.

associate Pastor

James is a native of Newport News who loves this community. He has served in various capacities as a systems engineer and loves technology. He answered the call on his life as his roles in ministry have grown over the past years (Deacon, Media Lead, Media Pastor, and now Associate Pastor) eventually leading him to work with Pastor Joey at Faith Outreach Church. He has a wife Laci, son Thomas, and a daughter Charis. His pastimes include camping, four-wheel drive vehicles, and learning.
